The Digital Content Associate role is an entryβlevel position that sits at the intersection of content operations and quality assurance. As a Digital Content Associate, you will be responsible for listening to audiobook recordings, identifying any audio defects, and using internal tools to correct or flag issues. The role demands a keen ear, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) consistently. You will work closely with crossβfunctional teams, including content acquisition, production, and quality assurance, to maintain Audibleβs high standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Adhere strictly to SOPs while reviewing audio files.
2. Listen to audiobook segments using a headset and identify issues such as background noise, mispronunciations, skips, or volume inconsistencies.
3. Utilize proprietary audioβediting tools to fix minor defects or annotate files for further processing.
4. Escalate complex problems to senior analysts or the technical team following defined escalation matrices.
5. Communicate findings and status updates to internal stakeholders and external content providers.
6. Meet daily and weekly productivity targets while maintaining quality benchmarks.
7. Track and log all actions in the content management system for audit purposes.
8. Participate in periodic training sessions to stay updated on new tools and quality standards.
9. Contribute ideas for process improvements and automation opportunities.
10. Ensure compliance with serviceβlevel agreements (SLAs) and average handling time (AHT) metrics.
Tech stack: The role primarily uses Amazonβs internal content management platform, audio editing software (e.g., Audacity or proprietary tools), Microsoft Office suite for reporting, and collaboration tools like Slack and Chime. Familiarity with basic audio concepts and file formats (MP3, WAV) is advantageous.
