With a head‑quarter in North Sydney and a strong presence in India, Shift offers a truly global perspective while maintaining a flat hierarchy that encourages learning from senior leaders.
The Trainee Analyst role is based in Shift’s Bangalore office (JP Nagar) and is designed for fresh graduates who want to build a solid foundation in financial operations. You will be part of the Customer Support Operations department, working closely with loan settlement teams, compliance officers and product managers. The position provides exposure to end‑to‑end loan disbursal and collection processes, regulatory compliance (AML, CTF), and data‑driven reporting. It is an ideal launchpad for a career in fintech, banking or risk management.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Manage the disbursal and collection of loan documentation with precision and timeliness.
2. Review, verify and validate documents against banking and compliance standards.
3. Perform daily reconciliations and maintain accurate settlement records.
4. Update trackers, internal dashboards and loan management systems in real time.
5. Ensure strict adherence to AML, CTF, and internal risk‑compliance frameworks.
6. Meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and reporting timelines.
7. Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve documentation queries.
8. Prepare periodic compliance and performance reports for senior management.
9. Identify process gaps and suggest automation or workflow improvements.
10. Participate in shift‑timed operations (3:00–4:00 AM start, Mon–Fri) to align with Australian business hours.
**Tech Stack & Tools**: MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables), SQL basics for data extraction, loan management software (internal), document management systems, and familiarity with compliance tools.
**Growth Path**: Successful analysts can progress to Senior Analyst, Compliance Lead, or Product Operations Manager within 2‑3 years, with opportunities to move into data analytics, risk management or product development roles.
**Why Join Shift?** The company offers a hybrid work model, a flat structure that accelerates learning, regular knowledge‑sharing sessions every 100 days, generous parental leave, purpose‑built collaborative spaces, and a suite of wellbeing benefits ranging from birthday offs to end‑of‑trip facilities. The exposure to international fintech operations and the chance to work on real‑world loan settlement cycles make this role a unique stepping stone for ambitious graduates.
