The role of Associate Engineer – Product Stewardship and Sustainability is designed for fresh engineering graduates who are passionate about environmental compliance, product lifecycle management and sustainable design. As a member of the Product Stewardship team, you will support the development and implementation of strategies that ensure Eaton’s products meet global regulatory standards while minimizing environmental footprints. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers and cross‑functional teams to embed sustainability considerations into every stage of product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining compliance documentation for international environmental regulations (e.g., RoHS, REACH, WEEE).
• Conduct data collection and analysis on product material composition and end‑of‑life scenarios.
• Support lifecycle assessment (LCA) studies to identify opportunities for carbon reduction.
• Collaborate with design engineers to suggest eco‑friendly material alternatives.
• Participate in internal audits and external certification processes.
• Prepare sustainability reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in global environmental legislation and communicate implications to product teams.
• Contribute to the development of internal sustainability guidelines and best‑practice manuals.
• Provide technical support during product launch to ensure compliance readiness.
• Engage in continuous learning through workshops, webinars and industry conferences.

Tech Stack & Tools: MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), basic knowledge of CAD software, data analysis tools (MATLAB/Excel), familiarity with LCA software (e.g., SimaPro), and an understanding of regulatory databases.

Growth Path: Starting as an Associate Engineer, you can progress to Senior Engineer, Product Stewardship Lead, and eventually to Managerial roles overseeing global sustainability programs.
