**Role Summary**
The Embedded C/C++ Engineer will design, implement, and maintain firmware for automotive ECUs. Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, performing unit and integration tests, and troubleshooting hardwareβsoftware interactions. The engineer will collaborate with crossβfunctional teams, participate in technical reviews, and contribute to the product roadmap.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design and develop embedded software modules in C/C++.
2. Implement communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN) and ensure protocol compliance.
3. Configure and program microcontrollers/microprocessors, including peripheral initialization.
4. Debug firmware using breakpoints, logs, and hardware analyzers.
5. Write unit tests and perform regression testing for firmware releases.
6. Optimize code for memory footprint and execution speed.
7. Collaborate with hardware engineers to resolve interface issues.
8. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
9. Maintain documentation for code, test cases, and design decisions.
10. Stay updated on automotive standards (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR) and industry trends.
