The role of Software Engineer I is designed for fresh B.E/B.Tech graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who are eager to dive into the development and testing of complex aerospace software. As a member of the Honeywell Connected Aero team, you will contribute to building, validating, and maintaining highβperformance software components that power modern aircraft systems. You will work alongside seasoned engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists, gaining handsβon experience with realβtime embedded systems, cloudβbased analytics, and safetyβcritical code.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and unitβtest software modules in C/C++, Python, and Java for aerospace applications.
2. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and secure coding practices.
3. Develop frontβend interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for operator dashboards.
4. Implement backβend services with Oracle, SQLite, and Java, integrating with data pipelines.
5. Conduct system and integration testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve defects reported by QA or field teams, documenting rootβcause analysis.
7. Collaborate with crossβfunctional teams to define requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
8. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting automation and AI/ML enhancements where applicable.
9. Maintain documentation of design decisions, test results, and deployment procedures.
10. Stay updated with aerospace standards, cybersecurity guidelines (Coverity, BDH), and emerging technologies.
