The Development Engineer role sits within the Technology division, a highβimpact team that builds nextβgeneration banking platforms. As a technoβbanker, you will design, develop, and maintain cuttingβedge tools that transform client experiences and streamline internal processes. Working in Agile scrum teams, you will contribute to endβtoβend client journeys, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyse complex business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
2. Design, develop, and test microβservice based applications using Java and related frameworks.
3. Build responsive frontβend interfaces with Angular or React.
4. Implement algorithms and dataβstructure optimisations to improve performance.
5. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies β sprint planning, daily standβups, retrospectives.
6. Collaborate with product owners, designers, and QA to deliver highβquality releases.
7. Contribute to code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical documentation.
8. Explore and prototype AI/NLP models to enhance decisionβmaking workflows.
9. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory guidelines.
10. Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Tech Stack: Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices, Docker/Kubernetes, Angular/React, Git, CI/CD pipelines, SQL/NoSQL databases, basic AI/ML libraries.
