Job Description & Key Responsibilities
Commure is on a mission to rewrite the rules of healthcare delivery by building an AI Operating System that powers every step of the care journey. The platform combines Ambient AI‑driven dictation, intelligent agents that automate patient and revenue workflows, and an autonomous revenue‑cycle‑management engine that processes billions of claims across more than 60 integrated EHRs. With over 500,000 clinicians in 500+ organisations trusting Commure to handle $25 billion in annual claims and 200 million patient interactions, the company sits at the heart of a $1 trillion administrative burden in healthcare. Recent milestones include a $70 million Series C raise at a $7 billion valuation, a spot on Fortune’s Future 50 list, and the 2026 AI Breakthrough Award for Overall NLP Company of the Year.
The Software Engineer role is a client‑facing, full‑stack position based in Bengaluru, but the work schedule aligns with US time zones to support Commure’s North‑American customers. As a fresh graduate, you will be thrust into real‑world projects that directly impact patient care, from integrating AI‑driven documentation tools into hospital workflows to building custom dashboards for revenue analytics. You will collaborate with product managers, senior engineers, and healthcare clinicians, gaining exposure to both technical depth and domain knowledge.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Participate in end‑to‑end implementation of Commure’s solutions within client environments.
2. Provide on‑site and remote technical assistance during deployment and integration phases.
3. Gather and translate client requirements, compliance constraints, and care‑delivery goals into technical specifications.
4. Work closely with the core engineering team to prototype and deliver tailored features for healthcare customers.
5. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical challenges encountered during rollout.
6. Create and maintain clear technical documentation, onboarding guides, and system maintenance manuals.
7. Stay updated on emerging healthcare‑tech trends, regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.), and propose innovative enhancements.
8. Contribute to building 0‑1 products, iterating quickly from concept to production.
9. Communicate progress and risks effectively to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
10. Uphold Commure’s security and compliance policies throughout the development lifecycle.
The tech stack revolves around Python for backend services, JavaScript/React for front‑end interfaces, and SQL databases for data persistence. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), RESTful APIs, and containerisation (Docker) is a plus. Growth at Commure is rapid – high‑performing engineers can move into senior engineering, product ownership, or specialised AI roles within 2‑3 years, supported by continuous learning programs and mentorship.
Why join Commure? You will work on a purpose‑driven product that directly improves patient outcomes, collaborate with world‑class clinicians, and experience a fast‑paced, ownership‑centric culture where every line of code can affect millions of lives. The company’s recent funding and market recognition provide stability and a clear runway for ambitious engineers to grow alongside a market‑leading AI health‑tech platform.
