The Graduate Apprentice Trainee role is positioned within VCEβs supply chain and logistics function, specifically supporting warehouse operations and lean management initiatives. As a fresh graduate, you will be immersed in realβworld projects that blend data analytics, visualization, and process automation. The role offers a unique opportunity to apply engineering fundamentals to improve operational efficiency while gaining handsβon experience with industryβstandard tools such as Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deploy a digital team board across the organization to improve visibility of tasks and metrics.
2. Implement costβdeployment and other lean management tools on the shop floor.
3. Drive Continuous Improvement (CIMP) and Problem Solving (PS) methodologies throughout the warehouse.
4. Design, develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and related visualization platforms.
5. Generate regular reports and analytics to support dataβdriven decision making in warehouse operations.
6. Automate repetitive processes using PowerApps and Power Automate to reduce manual effort.
7. Collaborate with crossβfunctional teamsβincluding operations, IT, and qualityβto identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
8. Ensure data integrity, perform data cleansing, and maintain accurate documentation for all reports.
9. Participate in Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives.
10. Assist senior managers in presenting performance insights to senior leadership.
Tech Stack: Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite, basic SQL for data extraction.
Growth Path: Successful trainees can progress to roles such as Warehouse Analyst, Lean Management Engineer, or Supply Chain Data Analyst, with opportunities to move into senior leadership positions within Volvoβs global supply chain network.
