Arista Networks is a global leader in dataโ€‘driven, clientโ€‘toโ€‘cloud networking solutions. With annual revenues exceeding $8โ€ฏbillion, the company designs and ships highโ€‘performance Ethernet platforms that power some of the worldโ€™s largest dataโ€‘centers, campuses, and routing environments. Aristaโ€™s portfolio spans speeds up to 800โ€ฏGbps, and its flagship EOS operating system together with CloudVision provides unparalleled automation, visibility, and scalability. The firm is a founding member of the Ultra Ethernet consortium and has shipped more than 20โ€ฏmillion cloud networking ports worldwide. Its culture is built around engineering excellence, open standards, and a flat, ownershipโ€‘driven management structure that empowers every engineer to make impactful decisions. The role of WiFi/Switching Hardware Engineer in the Pune office is designed for fresh graduates or finalโ€‘year students who are passionate about electronics, networking, and hardware validation. You will work closely with senior hardware architects and software teams to evaluate, prototype, and characterize WiFi access points and switching silicon. The position offers a blend of handsโ€‘on lab work, schematic/layout review, and automated test development, providing a solid foundation for a career in highโ€‘speed networking hardware. Key Responsibilities: 1. Participate in frontโ€‘end and backโ€‘end hardware schematic and layout reviews, both manually and using automated tools. 2. Conduct functional and performance experiments on WiFi accessโ€‘point prototypes and switch modules. 3. Perform signal integrity analysis, powerโ€‘budget calculations, and component interfacing verification. 4. Develop and execute automated test scripts (Python/Shell) for hardware validation and regression. 5. Collaborate with firmware and software teams to integrate hardware with EOS and CloudVision platforms. 6. Document test plans, results, and rootโ€‘cause analyses for internal stakeholders. 7. Assist in evaluating ODM solutions and ensuring they meet Aristaโ€™s quality standards. 8. Support the creation of design guidelines and bestโ€‘practice documents for future hardware projects. 9. Stay updated with emerging WiFi (802.11ax, 802.11be) and Ethernet technologies and propose improvements. 10. Participate in crossโ€‘functional design reviews and contribute ideas for product roadmap. Tech Stack & Tools: Ethernet and WiFi protocol fundamentals, TCP/IP basics, Linux/Windows environments, Python scripting, Shell scripting, schematic capture tools (Altium, Cadence), layout tools (Mentor, KiCad), signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, MATLAB for data analysis, and basic knowledge of networking concepts such as DHCP, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP. Growth Path: Starting as a junior hardware engineer, you can progress to senior hardware designer, hardware lead, or system architect within 3โ€‘5โ€ฏyears, depending on performance and expertise. Arista encourages internal mobility, allowing engineers to move between hardware, firmware, and software domains, fostering a wellโ€‘rounded skill set. Why Join Arista? The company offers exposure to cuttingโ€‘edge networking hardware used by Fortuneโ€‘500 enterprises, a collaborative engineeringโ€‘first culture, competitive compensation, and a strong emphasis on workโ€‘life balance. Employees benefit from mentorship by industry veterans, access to global R&D resources, and opportunities to contribute to products that shape the future of cloud networking.

Explain OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles with real-world examples in Electronics design concepts. Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: 1. Encapsulation (data hiding via private fields/getters). 2. Abstraction (hiding implementation complexity). 3. Inheritance (code reusability). 4. Polymorphism (method overriding/overloading).
What is the time and space complexity of QuickSort vs MergeSort? Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: QuickSort: Average O(N log N) time, O(log N) space. Worst O(N^2). MergeSort: Guaranteed O(N log N) time, but requires O(N) auxiliary space.
Explain the difference between SQL Indexing (B-Tree vs Hash) and when not to use an index. Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: Indexes speed up SELECT queries via B-Trees. However, they slow down INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations because indexes must be updated on disk. Avoid on low-cardinality columns (e.g., boolean flags).
What happens under the hood when you enter a URL in a browser? Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: 1. DNS lookup (resolves IP). 2. TCP 3-way handshake (SYN, SYN-ACK, ACK). 3. TLS negotiation for HTTPS. 4. HTTP GET request sent. 5. Server responds with HTML/CSS/JS. 6. Browser renders DOM & CSSOM tree.
What is the difference between REST and GraphQL APIs? Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: REST uses multiple fixed endpoints with possible over/under-fetching. GraphQL uses a single endpoint allowing clients to query exact fields in a single request.
