The role of Associate Engineer, IT Eng System Manager is designed for recent graduates who are eager to dive into enterpriseβlevel IT operations. You will be the first line of support for a diverse set of platforms β Linux and Windows servers, lab workstations, cloud resources and dataβcenter infrastructure. Working closely with Lab, Data Center, Cloud, IT and Engineering teams, you will ensure that critical systems stay up and running, incidents are resolved within SLA, and continuous improvements are driven through automation and AIβenabled tools.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 16/5 rotational onβcall support for Linux and Windows environments, handling tickets, escalations and SLA compliance.
2. Troubleshoot hardware, OS, network and application issues; perform rootβcause analysis and problem management.
3. Monitor system health using Zabbix, RH Satellite and other monitoring tools; conduct trend analysis and proactive maintenance.
4. Deploy and manage virtual machines, containers (Kubernetes/OpenShift) and cloud resources on AWS, Azure or GCP.
5. Automate repetitive tasks with Ansible, scripting and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
6. Leverage Microsoft Copilot, Generative AI and analytics dashboards to accelerate ticket resolution and knowledgeβbase creation.
7. Document incidents, create knowledge articles and contribute to the teamβs bestβpractice repository.
8. Identify and implement scalable process improvements for engineering tools and workflows.
9. Ensure security compliance, data protection and responsible AI usage in all activities.
10. Collaborate with crossβfunctional teams to support new product launches and lab experiments.
Technical Stack: Linux, Windows Server, Ansible, Kubernetes/OpenShift, RH Satellite, Zabbix, AWS/Azure/GCP, Jenkins, Microsoft Copilot, Generative AI, scripting (Python/Bash).
Growth Path: Starting as an Associate Engineer, you can progress to System Engineer, Senior System Engineer, and eventually to IT Engineering Manager or Cloud Architecture roles, with opportunities to move into productβfocused engineering or R&D.
