The role of Associate Software Engineer (L1 Technical Support) is designed for fresh graduates and earlyβcareer professionals who are eager to start their journey in the IT services industry. As a firstβline support engineer, you will be the voice of Capgemini for customers seeking assistance with basic technical issues, software usage queries, and troubleshooting of everyday IT problems. The position operates on a 24/7 rotational shift model, ensuring roundβtheβclock service for global clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Respond to inbound calls and tickets, providing prompt and courteous assistance.
2. Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues.
3. Log all interactions accurately in the ticketing system.
4. Escalate complex problems to L2/L3 teams while maintaining ownership.
5. Perform routine checks on user accounts, permissions and access rights.
6. Assist endβusers with MS Office suite, email configuration and printer setup.
7. Participate in shift handβover meetings and share knowledge with peers.
8. Contribute to the creation of knowledgeβbase articles and FAQs.
9. Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain quality standards.
10. Provide feedback to process improvement teams based on recurring issues.
**Tech Stack & Tools**: Windows OS, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), basic networking concepts, ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA), remote desktop utilities, and basic scripting (batch files).
