Eligibility Criteria
Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or related engineering disciplines. Minimum 60% aggregate (or equivalent CGPA). 2026 batch preferred. No backlog or a maximum of one backlog allowed. ISTQB Foundation Level certification is required.

The Software Test Engineer role is a critical component of Siemensβ Research & Development team, specifically focused on rail systems. As a test engineer, you will design and implement comprehensive test strategies for complex rail applications, ensuring that safety, reliability, and performance standards are met. Your work will directly influence the quality of products that impact cities and countries worldwide.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Developing test strategies, specifications, and documentation for rail systems.
2. Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites using Robot Framework and Python.
3. Executing requirementβbased and blackβbox testing to validate product functionality.
4. Conducting defect analysis, rootβcause investigation, and detailed reporting.
5. Coordinating test activities, tracking progress, and collaborating with crossβfunctional teams.
6. Driving continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices.
7. Writing and executing nonβfunctional test cases where required.
8. Managing API testing for streaming and REST APIs, both manually and through automation.
9. Leveraging GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline integration.
10. Applying advanced testing techniques such as Boundary Value Analysis and Equivalence Class Partitioning.
Tech stack: Python, Robot Framework, REST/Streaming APIs, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, ISTQB Foundation Level concepts, rail domain protocols.
