The Application Engr I role is an entryβlevel position designed for fresh graduates who are passionate about applying engineering principles to realβworld problems. As an Application Engineer, you will work closely with crossβfunctional teams to design, develop, and support application solutions that meet customer requirements. You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering and design to coding, testing, and deployment. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and performance of Honeywellβs automation products.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Collaborating with product managers and senior engineers to understand functional specifications.
2. Writing clean, maintainable code in languages such as C/C++, Java, or Python.
3. Developing and executing unit, integration, and system test cases.
4. Debugging and troubleshooting issues in both development and production environments.
5. Participating in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions.
6. Contributing to documentation and technical design specifications.
7. Working with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
8. Assisting in the deployment of applications on embedded devices or cloud platforms.
9. Monitoring application performance and proposing optimizations.
10. Staying updated with industry trends and emerging technologies.
The tech stack typically involves embedded Linux, realβtime operating systems, RESTful APIs, and cloud services such as AWS or Azure. You will also gain exposure to Honeywellβs proprietary software frameworks and data analytics tools.
