As an ASIC Verification Engineer, you will join a dynamic SoC/Emulation Infrastructure team that builds the tools and frameworks enabling Nvidia’s fast‑paced product development. The role blends hardware and software expertise, requiring you to design testbenches, develop bare‑metal boot environments, and create reusable verification components that span RTL simulation, C‑model, FPGA emulation, and silicon validation. You will work closely with design, verification, and software teams to ensure that every IP block – from DMA engines to security fuses – behaves correctly across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and maintain test frameworks for RTL‑simulation, C‑model, emulation, FPGA, and silicon bring‑up.
2. Develop and enhance SoC boot and security test infrastructure, including FUSE, ATE, flash, and DMA validation.
3. Build reusable APIs that allow design and verification engineers to access registers, memory, and peripheral interfaces across platforms.
4. Implement and support bare‑metal test environments that run directly on the SoC without an operating system.
5. Collaborate with hardware designers to understand IP specifications and translate them into verification plans.
6. Create and maintain documentation for verification methodologies, test coverage, and tool usage.
7. Participate in silicon bring‑up activities, troubleshooting hardware‑software integration issues.
8. Contribute to continuous improvement of verification processes, promoting scalability and maintainability.
9. Mentor junior engineers and share best practices within the team.
10. Stay updated with emerging verification technologies and incorporate them into Nvidia’s toolchain.
Tech Stack: C, C++, Python, SystemVerilog/UVM, Verilog, FPGA platforms, Emulation tools, Linux bare‑metal development, DMA/IOMMU, boot loaders, security primitives, and version‑control systems.
