The Associate Engineer role in Pune is part of Danfossβs Hydrostatics business unit, which designs and manufactures hydraulic pumps and motors for heavyβduty applications. Reporting to senior design engineers, the incumbent will translate product concepts into detailed 3D models, manage engineering change requests, and support new product development initiatives. The position offers exposure to the full product lifecycle β from early concept sketches to final release β and involves close interaction with crossβfunctional teams, suppliers, and customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies using UG NX or Creo.
2. Generate detailed engineering drawings with GD&T, ensuring compliance with ASME/ISO standards.
3. Perform stackβup tolerance analysis and support design verification activities.
4. Manage engineering change orders (ECOs) from impact analysis through release in PLM tools such as TeamCenter or Enovia.
5. Participate in new product development (NPD) projects, contributing to concept validation, DFSS tools, and DFMEA creation.
6. Conduct product improvement studies to enhance performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
7. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure design intent is maintained.
8. Support crossβfunctional problemβsolving sessions with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams.
9. Maintain accurate product data and documentation in the PLM system.
10. Stay updated with the latest hydraulic product trends and standards.
**Tech Stack**: UG NX / Creo, TeamCenter / Enovia, GD&T, DFSS, DFMEA, PβDiagrams, DVPR, MS Office, basic CFD/FEA tools.
