The Cyber Engineer β GCDC β Automation and Integration role sits within Maerskβs Cyber Automation and Integration team, a hub that connects cyber operations, development and AI initiatives. The team builds and maintains automated workflows, integrates disparate security tools, and creates AIβenabled services that enhance threat detection and response. As a fresh graduate, you will be mentored by senior engineers and will get handsβon exposure to a wide range of cyber security domains β from endpoint protection to cloud security β while contributing to realβworld automation projects that protect a global logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to interact with REST, SOAP and other webβbased APIs.
2. Support AI platforms by building context layers, data pipelines and integration services that enable intelligent threat analytics.
3. Create and manage playbooks and workflows in Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) tools based on operational use cases.
4. Develop and sustain cloudβbased infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) required for automation projects.
5. Write clear technical documentation, design specifications and knowledgeβbase articles for all deliverables.
6. Collaborate with cyber operations, engineering and architecture teams to ensure seamless integration of security tooling.
7. Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline creation and versionβcontrol management across multiple projects.
8. Continuously research emerging cyberβsecurity trends, especially AIβdriven solutions, and propose improvements.
9. Conduct securityβfocused code reviews and ensure adherence to secure development best practices.
10. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automation solutions in production environments.
Tech Stack: Python, PowerShell, REST/SOAP APIs, AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Git, CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Bitbucket), SOAR platforms (e.g., Cortex XSOAR), SIEM (Splunk/QRadar), EDR/XDR solutions, Agile Scrum framework.
