In India, Amazon operates across multiple verticals, employing over 150,000 people and driving innovation in logistics, retail, and content. Audible, a wholly‑owned subsidiary of Amazon, is the global leader in spoken‑word entertainment, delivering audiobooks, podcasts, and original audio series to millions of listeners. The Audible team in India focuses on curating, producing, and maintaining high‑quality audio content for the Indian market, ensuring that every listener enjoys a seamless, immersive experience.
The Digital Content Associate role is an entry‑level position that sits at the intersection of content operations and quality assurance. As a Digital Content Associate, you will be responsible for listening to audiobook recordings, identifying any audio defects, and using internal tools to correct or flag issues. The role demands a keen ear, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) consistently. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, including content acquisition, production, and quality assurance, to maintain Audible’s high standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Adhere strictly to SOPs while reviewing audio files.
2. Listen to audiobook segments using a headset and identify issues such as background noise, mispronunciations, skips, or volume inconsistencies.
3. Utilize proprietary audio‑editing tools to fix minor defects or annotate files for further processing.
4. Escalate complex problems to senior analysts or the technical team following defined escalation matrices.
5. Communicate findings and status updates to internal stakeholders and external content providers.
6. Meet daily and weekly productivity targets while maintaining quality benchmarks.
7. Track and log all actions in the content management system for audit purposes.
8. Participate in periodic training sessions to stay updated on new tools and quality standards.
9. Contribute ideas for process improvements and automation opportunities.
10. Ensure compliance with service‑level agreements (SLAs) and average handling time (AHT) metrics.
Tech stack: The role primarily uses Amazon’s internal content management platform, audio editing software (e.g., Audacity or proprietary tools), Microsoft Office suite for reporting, and collaboration tools like Slack and Chime. Familiarity with basic audio concepts and file formats (MP3, WAV) is advantageous.
Growth path: Starting as a Digital Content Associate, high performers can progress to Senior Associate, Content Quality Lead, or move laterally into product management, operations analytics, or localization roles within Audible or broader Amazon divisions. Amazon’s internal mobility program encourages cross‑functional moves, enabling associates to build diverse skill sets.
Why join Amazon Audible? You will be part of a global brand that values customer obsession, innovation, and operational excellence. The role offers exposure to cutting‑edge audio technology, a collaborative multicultural environment, and clear career progression. Moreover, Amazon’s employee benefits, learning resources, and inclusive culture make it an attractive launchpad for fresh graduates seeking a fast‑paced, impact‑driven career.
