As an Apprentice in the Supply Chain Analytics and Business Operations team, you will get a front‑row seat to the end‑to‑end supply chain processes that keep Itron’s products moving from suppliers to customers. This role is designed for fresh graduates from commerce or management streams who are eager to build a career in supply chain, procurement, and business analytics. You will work closely with senior analysts, procurement managers, and finance partners, gaining hands‑on experience in data extraction, reporting, and process improvement. Key responsibilities include: 1. Supporting daily supply chain reporting and performance tracking. 2. Extracting and validating data from supplier invoices (PDF/scan) for accuracy. 3. Verifying invoice details such as supplier name, dates, amounts, taxes, PO references and payment terms. 4. Assisting in purchase‑order, inventory and supplier data analysis. 5. Maintaining and updating datasets, spreadsheets and reporting templates. 6. Creating dashboards, presentations and business reports for stakeholders. 7. Identifying data‑quality issues and collaborating with teams to resolve them. 8. Documenting business processes, reporting requirements and SOPs. 9. Contributing to continuous‑improvement and automation initiatives. 10. Performing ad‑hoc reporting and business analysis tasks as required. The tech stack for this role primarily includes Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL for data querying, and PDF data‑extraction tools. Familiarity with basic scripting (Python) for automation is a plus. Over time, apprentices can progress to Analyst, Senior Analyst, and eventually Supply Chain Manager roles, with opportunities to specialize in procurement analytics, demand forecasting, or digital transformation projects.
