Auric AI is an emerging defenseโ€‘focused artificial intelligence startup that builds cuttingโ€‘edge intelligence platforms for national security agencies. Backed by a team of seasoned researchers and engineers, the company blends deep learning, large language models and realโ€‘time data pipelines to deliver actionable insights in highโ€‘stakes environments. The culture is built around rapid experimentation, high ownership and a missionโ€‘driven mindset, where every engineerโ€™s contribution directly impacts the nationโ€™s safety. The Junior Software Engineer role is designed for fresh graduates or earlyโ€‘career talent who are passionate about backend development and AIโ€‘enabled systems. You will join a small, highโ€‘performing engineering squad that builds robust services powering the core product. The position offers endโ€‘toโ€‘end ownership of features, from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring and iteration. You will work closely with senior engineers, data scientists and product managers, gaining exposure to both traditional backend engineering and the emerging world of LLMโ€‘driven workflows. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs. 2. Integrate thirdโ€‘party and internal APIs, handling authentication, rateโ€‘limiting and error recovery. 3. Build and enforce comprehensive unit, integration and contract tests to ensure reliability. 4. Collaborate on system architecture, service orchestration and faultโ€‘tolerant design decisions. 5. Own feature development from specification through CI/CD pipelines to production monitoring. 6. Work with data stores (SQL/NoSQL), caching layers like Redis and message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ. 7. Containerize services using Docker and assist in cloud deployments on AWS/GCP/Azure. 8. Contribute to AI/LLM workflow engineering, adding guardrails, validation and monitoring for modelโ€‘driven features. 9. Participate in code reviews, knowledgeโ€‘sharing sessions and continuous improvement initiatives. 10. Document APIs, design decisions and operational runbooks for crossโ€‘team consumption. Tech Stack: Python (FastAPI/Django), PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Docker, Git, CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins), AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda) and LLM integration frameworks. Growth Path: Starting as a Junior Engineer, you will receive mentorship from senior backend and ML engineers, enabling you to progress to Midโ€‘Level Engineer within 12โ€‘18 months, then to Lead or Platform Engineer roles as you demonstrate ownership and architectural expertise. The role also opens pathways into AI/ML engineering for those who wish to deepen their modelโ€‘centric skill set. Why Join Auric AI? You will work on some of the most challenging problems in defense AI, collaborating with worldโ€‘class researchers while enjoying the agility of a startup. The company offers high impact, rapid learning cycles, and a clear trajectory toward senior technical positions, all within a missionโ€‘driven environment that values innovation, integrity and personal growth.

What is the difference between Implicit Wait, Explicit Wait, and Fluent Wait in Selenium? Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: Implicit Wait sets a global timeout for all element lookups. Explicit Wait pauses execution until a specific ExpectedCondition (e.g. elementToBeClickable) is met. Fluent Wait allows defining polling frequency and ignoring specific exceptions like NoSuchElementException.
Explain the Page Object Model (POM) and its advantages in Test Automation. Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: POM is a design pattern that creates an object repository for web UI elements. It separates test scripts from page locators, reducing code duplication and making maintenance easy when UI elements change.
How do you handle dynamic WebElements whose ID changes on page reload? Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: Use dynamic XPath methods like contains(), starts-with(), text(), or XPath axes (ancestor, following-sibling, parent) instead of brittle absolute paths.
What is the difference between @BeforeMethod and @BeforeClass in TestNG? Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: @BeforeClass runs once before the first test method in the current class, while @BeforeMethod executes before each individual test method.
How do you validate REST API response codes and JSON payload using Postman / RestAssured? Answer โ–ผ
Model Answer: In RestAssured: given().when().get('/endpoint').then().assertThat().statusCode(200).body('status', equalTo('ACTIVE')).
