The role of Software Engineer at Honeywell Bengaluru is designed for recent graduates who are eager to apply their programming fundamentals to realβworld problems. As a junior member of the software development team, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable applications that support Honeywellβs digital transformation initiatives. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers and product managers, participating in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous integration pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java, C++ or Python based on project requirements.
2. Implement and consume RESTful APIs to enable communication between services.
3. Design and optimise data structures and algorithms to solve performanceβcritical problems.
4. Collaborate with crossβfunctional teams using Git for version control and follow best practices for branching and merging.
5. Participate in daily standβups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an Agile/Scrum workflow.
6. Develop and execute unit and integration test cases to ensure code quality.
7. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects reported by QA or production monitoring tools.
8. Contribute to documentation of technical designs, APIs, and deployment procedures.
9. Assist in database schema design and write basic SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
10. Continuously learn emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing systems.
