
Eligibility Criteria
Currently pursuing a Bachelorโs degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, HumanโComputer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or a related field. Minimum 60% aggregate (CGPA) in the qualifying degree. Eligible batch years: 2024โ2026. No active backlogs at the time of application. Candidates with equivalent practical experience in product or service design are also welcome.

The role of a Product Designer at Microsoft focuses on shaping intuitive, delightful, and accessible user experiences for Microsoftโs suite of products. Working closely with engineering, product management, and senior designers, you will translate user needs and business goals into visual language, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models. Under mentorship, you will contribute to the endโtoโend design process, from research and ideation to highโfidelity prototypes and usability testing, ensuring that design quality aligns with Microsoftโs standards of excellence.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Collaborate with engineers and QA teams to ensure design fidelity throughout development.
2. Produce wireframes, journey maps, user flows, and lowโtoโhigh fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
3. Conduct user research, usability testing, and incorporate feedback into iterative design improvements.
4. Create visual assets and interaction models that communicate the productโs visual language clearly.
5. Assist senior designers in crafting compelling narratives and design presentations for stakeholders.
6. Participate in crossโfunctional design reviews, providing constructive feedback and advocating for userโcentered solutions.
7. Support program managers and developers in defining product features and requirements.
8. Contribute to one design study at a time, delivering actionable design outcomes within set timelines.
9. Maintain design documentation and style guides to ensure consistency across product lines.
10. Stay updated with emerging design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously elevate the user experience.
