As an SEO Content Intern, you will be at the heart of the companyβs outreach engine. You will research publishing opportunities, craft guest posts, and assist the senior SEO team in evaluating backlink prospects. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates who love digging deep into niche topics, have a flair for writing, and are eager to learn the mechanics of offβpage SEO. You will work closely with the content, SEO, and clientβservicing teams, gaining handsβon experience with industryβstandard tools and client communication.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Scan thirdβparty blogs, news sites, and niche communities to identify guestβposting opportunities that match client verticals.
2. Evaluate each prospect based on relevance, domain authority, audience demographics, and basic SEO metrics.
3. Conduct competitor backlink analysis to uncover gaps and potential outreach targets.
4. Perform topic and audience research to propose content ideas that align with client goals.
5. Write original, SEOβfriendly guest articles, adapting tone and structure for each publication.
6. Coordinate with the SEO team to embed appropriate anchor texts and follow linkβbuilding best practices.
7. Maintain a detailed spreadsheet of outreach activities, submission statuses, and performance metrics.
8. Learn to use Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz for backlink analysis and reporting.
9. Participate in weekly brainstorming sessions to refine outreach strategies.
10. Incorporate feedback from editors and senior SEO managers to improve content quality.
**Tech Stack & Tools**: Google Docs, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel/Sheets, Trello or Asana for task tracking.
**Growth Path**: Successful interns can transition to a fullβtime SEO Content Executive role, later moving into SEO Strategist or Digital PR Manager positions as they master linkβbuilding tactics and client handling.
