The Associate Software Engineer Intern role is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to dive into the world of software development within a highβimpact domain. Interns will work closely with senior engineers on the design, development, and maintenance of core modules of Kaleris products. The role offers a blend of handsβon coding, debugging, and collaboration across crossβfunctional teams in India and the USA.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze functional requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications.
2. Develop software modules using ObjectβOriented principles in languages such as C++ and C#.
3. Create and maintain user interfaces, algorithms, and data structures for new and existing product features.
4. Write unit and functional tests, and automate test suites using tools like Visual Studio Test Explorer or custom frameworks.
5. Debug and resolve issues in both new and legacy codebases, leveraging IDEs such as Visual Studio and Code Warrior.
6. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
7. Manage source code using version control systems (SVN, CVS, VSS) and follow branching strategies.
8. Collaborate with product managers and QA teams to clarify requirements and validate deliverables.
9. Communicate progress and blockers to supervisors in India and the USA through status reports and meetings.
10. Continuously learn and apply new technologies relevant to realβtime graphical applications and logistics.
