The Information Security Trainee role is an entry‑level position designed for fresh graduates who are passionate about protecting digital assets. Trainees will work closely with the internal IT team, product assurance, engineering, and external technology vendors to monitor, investigate, and remediate security incidents. The role offers hands‑on exposure to real‑world threat intelligence, incident response, and security operations within a fast‑growing technology environment. Key responsibilities include: 1. Analyzing threat information from multiple intelligence sources and agencies. 2. Synthesising intelligence to draw actionable insights and assess potential impact. 3. Identifying vulnerabilities and potential exploitation pathways. 4. Assessing capabilities of cyber‑criminal groups or foreign intelligence entities and preparing briefing reports. 5. Responding to crisis situations, applying mitigation and recovery strategies. 6. Investigating and documenting all response activities for continuous improvement. 7. Assisting the IT team with malware remediation and removal. 8. Conducting configuration audits of networks, servers, and cloud environments. 9. Maintaining and tuning security monitoring tools and dashboards. 10. Preparing clear technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders. The technical stack primarily involves network security fundamentals, AWS cloud security services, SIEM platforms, and basic scripting for automation. Trainees will gain exposure to tools such as AWS GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Splunk or similar SIEM solutions, and vulnerability scanners.
