The SOC Analyst (L1) role is the first line of defense in Revantageβs Security Operations Center. As a junior analyst, you will be responsible for continuously monitoring security alerts, performing initial triage, and escalating incidents that require deeper investigation. You will work primarily on the ReliaQuest GreyMatter MDR platform, with supplemental tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, Zscaler, Netskope, Mimecast, and ServiceNow. The position is hybrid, based in Bengaluru, and operates on a 24Γ7 rotational shift schedule, offering exposure to realβworld cyberβthreats and the chance to develop a solid foundation for a career in information security.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Monitor the security alert queue across the shift, ensuring no alert is missed or left unattended.
2. Perform initial triage using documented playbooks, classify alerts by severity, and decide on escalation or falseβpositive closure.
3. Use ReliaQuest GreyMatter for case management, enrichment, and documentation of investigation steps.
4. Review Microsoft Defender for Endpoint alerts, conduct basic endpoint investigations, and capture relevant artifacts.
5. Analyse Microsoft Sentinel incidents, run predefined KQL queries, and gradually build independent query skills.
6. Gain familiarity with Zscaler and Netskope webβsecurity platforms, providing initial context for higherβlevel investigations.
7. Manage ServiceNow tickets in the InfoSec queue, adhering to SLA targets and maintaining clear documentation.
8. Conduct firstβline phishing triage using Mimecast or Abnormal.ai, supporting quarantine and release workflows.
9. Contribute to shift handβoff quality by documenting open items and ensuring smooth knowledge transfer.
10. Continuously improve personal proficiency on all tools through onβtheβjob learning and mentorship from senior analysts.
