Final year students of the 2026 batch are eligible. Maximum one active backlog allowed at the time of application. The role of Systems Engineer I is an entryβlevel engineering position that sits at the intersection of hardware, software and networking. As a member of crossβfunctional teams, you will contribute to the endβtoβend lifecycle of complex systems β from conceptual design and architecture to integration, testing and documentation. **Key Responsibilities**
1. Collaborate with hardware, firmware and software teams to design system architectures that meet performance, safety and reliability targets.
2. Develop integration plans, create wiring diagrams, interface control documents and configuration matrices.
3. Execute systemβlevel testing, validate functional and nonβfunctional requirements, and log defects for resolution.
4. Perform rootβcause analysis on integration issues and propose corrective actions.
5. Maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports and change logs.
6. Support field engineers during installation and commissioning phases, providing technical guidance.
7. Stay updated with emerging technologies such as IoT, edge computing and industrial communication protocols.
8. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Contribute to knowledgeβsharing sessions and mentor future interns or junior engineers.
10. Ensure compliance with Honeywellβs quality standards and industry regulations.
**Tech Stack**: Embedded C/C++, Python scripting, PLC programming, CAN, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, MATLAB/Simulink, version control (Git), and basic cloud platforms for data analytics.
**Growth Path**: Successful engineers can progress to Systems Engineer II, Senior Systems Engineer, and eventually to Technical Lead or Project Manager roles.
