As a Systems Test Engineer based in Hyderabad, you will be part of the Systems Test Engineering group, responsible for validating and verifying the functionality of complex hardwareβsoftware platforms. The role involves designing test plans, executing functional and regression tests, analyzing logs, and documenting defects. You will work closely with software developers, hardware designers, and senior test leads to ensure that Qualcommβs products meet the highest quality standards before they reach customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for systemβlevel validation.
2. Execute functional, integration, and regression tests on hardware prototypes and reference designs.
3. Collect and analyze logs, requirements, and other artifacts to identify rootβcause of failures.
4. Document defects in the bugβtracking system and collaborate with developers for timely resolution.
5. Perform basic field or lab testing under the guidance of technical leads.
6. Verify that proposed fixes address the identified issues without side effects.
7. Communicate test results, defect status, and risk assessments to crossβfunctional teams.
8. Participate in daily standβups and technical discussions to align on priorities and blockers.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement of test methodologies and tooling.
10. Write functional test scripts to ensure new features work as intended.
**Tech Stack**: Linux command line, Python scripting, Bash, Git, JIRA/Confluence for defect tracking, basic knowledge of C/C++ for firmware interaction, and familiarity with wireless standards (LTE, 5G NR).
