JioStar, a rapidly expanding OTT platform under the umbrella of the Jio ecosystem, is looking for a Software Development Engineer I to join its Viewer Experience (VX) organization in Bengaluru. The VX team is responsible for crafting the end‑to‑end user journey across Search, Personalization, Watch Experience, Interactivity and other front‑end touchpoints on the JioHotstar platform. As a fresher or early‑career engineer, you will be embedded in a cross‑functional squad that includes product managers, designers, data scientists and back‑end developers, working together to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and accessible user experiences. Role Summary The Software Development Engineer I will focus primarily on front‑end development for the JioHotstar website and TV applications. You will own end‑to‑end features, from translating design mockups into responsive components to ensuring optimal performance and accessibility across browsers and devices. The role demands a deep understanding of JavaScript, browser internals, and modern front‑end frameworks such as React or AngularJS. Key Responsibilities 1. Own and deliver end‑to‑end front‑end features for web and TV platforms. 2. Build high‑performance, accessible, and cross‑browser compatible UI components. 3.
