The role of Test Analyst (Firmware & Wi‑Fi Testing) is positioned at the heart of Cognizant’s networking and IoT practice. As a Test Analyst, you will be responsible for end‑to‑end quality validation of next‑generation wireless devices, ranging from consumer Wi‑Fi routers to enterprise-grade switches. You will design test strategies, develop automated test frameworks, and work closely with firmware, hardware, and cloud teams to ensure that every product release meets stringent performance and security standards. This position offers exposure to the latest Wi‑Fi standards (Wi‑Fi 5, 6/6E, 7) and hands‑on experience with RF test chambers, packet sniffers, and CI/CD pipelines. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Define, document and own comprehensive test strategies for embedded firmware and Wi‑Fi features. 2. Execute functional, integration, regression, throughput and system tests across Wi‑Fi 5/6/7 architectures. 3. Develop, maintain and scale automated test suites using Python and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. 4. Configure, validate and troubleshoot enterprise network switches, including RADIUS, GRE tunnels, AAA sessions, QoS policies, VLANs and failover mechanisms. 5. Capture and analyze network traffic using Wireshark and RF chambers to diagnose packet loss, latency and performance bottlenecks. 6. Track defects end‑to‑end in JIRA, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and verify fixes. 7. Participate in firmware flashing, hardware bring‑up, and hardware‑software validation activities. 8. Contribute to test documentation, test data management and continuous improvement of testing processes. 9. Mentor junior team members and share best practices in test automation and debugging. 10.
