Eligible candidates must hold a B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, M.E, M.Tech or M.Sc in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Information Technology or a related engineering discipline. Minimum academic performance of 60% aggregate (or equivalent CGPA) is expected. Candidates graduating in the 2025 or 2026 batch are preferred. For the Bachelor pathway, a minimum of 2 years of relevant software testing or automation experience is required; for the Master pathway, fresh graduates are eligible. Backlogs should not exceed 2 at the time of final year examinations, and any pending backlogs must be cleared before joining.

The role of Software Quality Engineer β Automation & AI in Chennai is designed for fresh graduates or earlyβcareer professionals who are passionate about software testing, automation, and AIβdriven quality engineering. As a member of the Quality Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring that KLAβs software products meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, and usability. You will work closely with algorithm developers, system engineers, product managers and customer support teams across multiple geographies, gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Qualify new and existing software products and features through functional, regression, performance, reliability and systemβlevel testing.
2. Design, develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.
3. Analyse test results, identify rootβcause defects and prepare detailed qualification reports.
4. Create training material and Best Known Methods (BKMs) for internal teams and customers.
5. Assess opportunities for test automation and build reusable automation frameworks using Python, C# or Java.
6. Integrate AIβpowered tools (Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents) to enhance test design, execution and defect analysis.
7. Contribute to requirements analysis, design reviews and support deployment activities.
8. Provide onβsite technical support and troubleshooting at customer fabrication facilities when required.
9. Continuously improve test coverage and efficiency through dataβdriven insights and AI analytics.
10. Collaborate with crossβfunctional teams to drive quality improvements across the product lifecycle.
