The Associate Software Engineer role is an entryβlevel position designed for recent graduates with a passion for building robust, scalable software solutions. As a member of the GreyMatter engineering team, you will work on core components that enable automated threat detection, incident response, and seamless integrations with thirdβparty security tools. The role offers exposure to modern cloudβnative architectures, microβservices, and DevOps practices, providing a solid foundation for a longβterm career in cybersecurity engineering.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, develop, and maintain Javaβbased microβservices that power GreyMatterβs detection and response workflows.
2. Build and document RESTful APIs for internal and external product integrations.
3. Contribute to the automation of threatβdetection pipelines using scripting and cloud services.
4. Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
5. Implement unit tests and support CI/CD pipelines to improve release velocity.
6. Collaborate with product managers, security analysts, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
7. Troubleshoot production issues, perform rootβcause analysis, and propose preventive measures.
8. Stay updated with emerging security technologies and suggest enhancements to the platform.
9. Assist in creating technical documentation and knowledgeβbase articles for internal teams.
10. Engage in agile ceremonies, contributing ideas for sprint planning and retrospectives.
