WorkElate is a fast‑growing startup that is redefining the future of work by building an AI‑native Work OS. The platform, called WAO (WorkElate AI Orchestration), transforms intent into execution by understanding context, coordinating people and AI, and driving work forward autonomously. By integrating documents, spreadsheets, presentations, meetings, conversations, tasks, calendars, and knowledge into a single intelligent system, WorkElate aims to make every office workflow smarter and more efficient. The Full Stack Engineer role is a key part of the AI‑native Office Suite team. Engineers in this role are expected to be technically strong, research‑oriented, and comfortable taking a problem from experimentation to production. You will design and build AI‑driven workflows across core office applications such as documents, spreadsheets, slides, mail, calendar, and tasks. Your work will involve investigating models, retrieval, memory, and tool execution, as well as building structured editing, collaboration, and import/export capabilities. Key responsibilities include: 1. Designing and implementing AI‑driven workflows that integrate with existing office applications. 2. Building and optimizing retrieval, memory, and agent systems for real‑time collaboration. 3. Conducting reproducible experiments to compare model approaches and measure quality, latency, cost, and failure behaviour. 4. Developing reliable APIs and application logic with validation, permissions, approval controls, retries, audit trails, and recovery mechanisms. 5. Collaborating with product and engineering teams to ship features, debug production issues, and improve usability. 6. Writing technical documentation and maintaining code quality through unit and integration tests. 7. Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior engineers. 8. Staying up‑to‑date with the latest research in LLMs, structured editing, and distributed systems. 9. Contributing to open‑source projects or publishing technical write‑ups to showcase research thinking. 10. Ensuring compliance with security and data privacy standards. Tech stack: JavaScript (Node.js, React), APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), data structures, debugging, testing frameworks, LLM applications, retrieval and agent systems, document formats, spreadsheet engines, real‑time collaboration protocols, distributed systems, observability tools. Growth path: Starting as a Full Stack Engineer, you can progress to Senior Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Technical Architect, with opportunities to lead AI research initiatives or product strategy. The startup environment offers rapid skill development, cross‑functional exposure, and a chance to shape the product roadmap. Why join? WorkElate offers a dynamic, mission‑driven culture where your ideas directly impact millions of users. You’ll work alongside world‑class researchers and engineers, receive mentorship, and enjoy a competitive salary, equity, and a flexible work environment that values work‑life balance. Overall, this role is ideal for engineers who thrive on solving hard problems, enjoy research, and want to build dependable software that powers the next generation of workplace productivity.

What is the difference between Implicit Wait, Explicit Wait, and Fluent Wait in Selenium? Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: Implicit Wait sets a global timeout for all element lookups. Explicit Wait pauses execution until a specific ExpectedCondition (e.g. elementToBeClickable) is met. Fluent Wait allows defining polling frequency and ignoring specific exceptions like NoSuchElementException.
Explain the Page Object Model (POM) and its advantages in Test Automation. Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: POM is a design pattern that creates an object repository for web UI elements. It separates test scripts from page locators, reducing code duplication and making maintenance easy when UI elements change.
How do you handle dynamic WebElements whose ID changes on page reload? Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: Use dynamic XPath methods like contains(), starts-with(), text(), or XPath axes (ancestor, following-sibling, parent) instead of brittle absolute paths.
What is the difference between @BeforeMethod and @BeforeClass in TestNG? Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: @BeforeClass runs once before the first test method in the current class, while @BeforeMethod executes before each individual test method.
How do you validate REST API response codes and JSON payload using Postman / RestAssured? Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: In RestAssured: given().when().get('/endpoint').then().assertThat().statusCode(200).body('status', equalTo('ACTIVE')).
