About the role

Konrad is a fast‑growing digital consultancy that partners with global brands to solve complex business challenges through technology, design and strategy. With a strong focus on innovation, the company builds end‑to‑end digital products ranging from mobile apps to enterprise platforms. Operating from multiple hubs worldwide, Konrad’s Gurgaon office serves as a key delivery centre for clients across finance, retail, healthcare and logistics.

The firm promotes a collaborative culture where engineers, designers and strategists work side‑by‑side, encouraging continuous learning, knowledge sharing and rapid skill development.

As a QA Engineer at Konrad, you will be the guardian of software quality across a diverse portfolio of projects. You will work closely with project managers, developers and senior quality engineers to understand functional requirements, translate them into detailed test cases and execute comprehensive testing cycles. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve manual testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) on multiple devices, operating systems and browsers, and meticulous defect documentation using JIRA.

You will also verify bug fixes, ensure regression stability and contribute to the creation of reusable test assets. The role offers one day per week of work‑from‑home flexibility while the majority of the work remains office‑based, fostering strong team interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular quality checks for multiple software projects.
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and major browsers.
  • Design, develop and maintain detailed test case scenarios based on functional specifications.
  • Log, track and prioritize defects in JIRA with clear reproduction steps and screenshots.
  • Communicate testing outcomes and raise issues with developers and project stakeholders.
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure no side‑effects.
  • Review supported devices and browsers to guarantee consistent user experience.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and quality engineering specialists to align testing scope with business goals.
  • Assist development teams with additional project‑related tasks as needed.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement, test automation possibilities and quality metrics.

Tech Stack & Tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, JIRA, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). While the role is primarily manual, exposure to basic scripting or automation concepts is advantageous.

Growth Path: Starting as a QA Engineer, high performers can progress to Senior QA Engineer, QA Lead, or Quality Engineering Manager within 2‑4 years. Konrad encourages certifications such as ISTQB and offers internal training programs to accelerate career growth.

Why Join Konrad? The company offers a vibrant, learning‑centric environment, competitive compensation, social events, subsidised lunch and a culture that values work‑life balance. The one‑day‑per‑week remote option provides flexibility without compromising team cohesion.

If you are detail‑oriented, love collaborating across functions and want to build a solid foundation in software quality, Konrad is an ideal place to launch or accelerate your QA career.

Technical questions 5
What is the difference between Implicit Wait, Explicit Wait, and Fluent Wait in Selenium? Answer
Model answer: Implicit Wait sets a global timeout for all element lookups. Explicit Wait pauses execution until a specific ExpectedCondition (e.g. elementToBeClickable) is met. Fluent Wait allows defining polling frequency and ignoring specific exceptions like NoSuchElementException.
Explain the Page Object Model (POM) and its advantages in Test Automation. Answer
Model answer: POM is a design pattern that creates an object repository for web UI elements. It separates test scripts from page locators, reducing code duplication and making maintenance easy when UI elements change.
How do you handle dynamic WebElements whose ID changes on page reload? Answer
Model answer: Use dynamic XPath methods like contains(), starts-with(), text(), or XPath axes (ancestor, following-sibling, parent) instead of brittle absolute paths.
What is the difference between @BeforeMethod and @BeforeClass in TestNG? Answer
Model answer: @BeforeClass runs once before the first test method in the current class, while @BeforeMethod executes before each individual test method.
How do you validate REST API response codes and JSON payload using Postman / RestAssured? Answer
Model answer: In RestAssured: given().when().get('/endpoint').then().assertThat().statusCode(200).body('status', equalTo('ACTIVE')).
