Landeed, a Y Combinator‑backed startup founded in 2022, is revolutionising property intelligence in India. By building the fastest and most comprehensive title search engine, Landeed helps users navigate the complex legal landscape of land ownership. With a team of 35, the company is rapidly expanding its coverage to more Indian states and developing an enterprise platform for government bodies and corporates. The mission is simple yet powerful: make land data transparent, accessible, and reliable for everyone. The People & Operations Associate (HR & Admin) is the first dedicated People & Operations hire at Landeed. This role is a blend of HR, operations, and business administration, designed for a recent graduate or early‑career professional who thrives on building systems from scratch. You will own the end‑to‑end hiring cycle, onboard new talent, manage office logistics, vendor relationships, travel, and payroll. You will also handle statutory compliance, reimbursements, and employee off‑boarding. The goal is to create frictionless processes that allow the engineering and product teams to focus on building the product. Key responsibilities include: 1. Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, from job posting to offer acceptance. 2. Design and implement onboarding programs that get new hires productive within the first week. 3. Manage office operations: vendor contracts, equipment procurement, and facility maintenance. 4. Oversee travel arrangements and expense reimbursements. 5. Administer payroll, statutory filings, and compliance with Indian labor laws. 6. Coordinate company events, town halls, and off‑boarding procedures. 7. Build and maintain HRIS and other administrative tools. 8. Identify process bottlenecks and propose scalable solutions. 9. Serve as a liaison between employees and leadership on policy and culture matters. 10. Mentor and develop the People & Operations function as the company grows. While the role does not require a technical stack, familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Workday), payroll software, and basic Excel skills will be beneficial. The growth path is clear: within three years you will lead the entire People & Operations function you built, shaping the culture and scaling the organization. Why join Landeed? You will be part of a YC‑backed startup that is solving a critical problem in India. The environment is fast‑moving, collaborative, and offers the chance to impact product, culture, and growth directly. You will receive a competitive salary, equity, and the opportunity to learn payroll, statutory compliance, and operational excellence from seasoned founders.

Explain OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles with real-world examples in Recruitment. Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: 1. Encapsulation (data hiding via private fields/getters). 2. Abstraction (hiding implementation complexity). 3. Inheritance (code reusability). 4. Polymorphism (method overriding/overloading).
What is the time and space complexity of QuickSort vs MergeSort? Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: QuickSort: Average O(N log N) time, O(log N) space. Worst O(N^2). MergeSort: Guaranteed O(N log N) time, but requires O(N) auxiliary space.
Explain the difference between SQL Indexing (B-Tree vs Hash) and when not to use an index. Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: Indexes speed up SELECT queries via B-Trees. However, they slow down INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE operations because indexes must be updated on disk. Avoid on low-cardinality columns (e.g., boolean flags).
What happens under the hood when you enter a URL in a browser? Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: 1. DNS lookup (resolves IP). 2. TCP 3-way handshake (SYN, SYN-ACK, ACK). 3. TLS negotiation for HTTPS. 4. HTTP GET request sent. 5. Server responds with HTML/CSS/JS. 6. Browser renders DOM & CSSOM tree.
What is the difference between REST and GraphQL APIs? Answer β–Ό
Model Answer: REST uses multiple fixed endpoints with possible over/under-fetching. GraphQL uses a single endpoint allowing clients to query exact fields in a single request.
