The Analyst role is positioned within the Trade Finance Operations team, handling endβtoβend processing of trade finance instruments for importers and exporters. The analyst will work on a variety of products such as Letters of Credit, documentary collections, guarantees, and related SWIFT messaging, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and international sanctions regimes. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate under European shift timings, which may include early mornings or late evenings.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Scrutinize and process Trade Finance documents in French, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
2. Manage Import and Export Letter of Credit transactions, including advising, issuance, amendment, confirmation, and negotiation.
3. Process documentary and clean collections, handling all related documentation.
4. Administer guarantees, amendments, claims, and commission collections.
5. Generate and validate SWIFT messages for trade finance operations.
6. Ensure transactions meet compliance and sanctions requirements, escalating any breaches.
7. Meet daily workflow targets and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
8. Escalate pending transactions, discrepancies, and technical queries to senior teams.
9. Contribute to process documentation, SOP updates, and knowledgeβbase maintenance.
10. Participate in continuous learning programs and acquire deeper knowledge of advanced Trade Finance products.
**Tech Stack & Tools**: Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, macros), MS PowerPoint, internal banking applications, SWIFT interface, and basic familiarity with compliance monitoring tools.
**Growth Path**: Analysts can progress to Senior Analyst, Team Lead, and eventually to Operations Manager or Product Specialist roles, with opportunities to move across geographies or into risk and compliance functions.
