Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Telangana State Government, through its MeeSeva initiative, aims to bring a wide range of citizen services under one roof, leveraging technology to simplify interactions between the public and various departments. Adilabad district, known for its vibrant culture and growing administrative needs, is expanding its service network with 35 new MeeSeva Centres in 2026. These centres act as the first point of contact for citizens seeking services such as land records, certificates, pension disbursements, and many other government schemes. Working for the MeeSeva network means being part of a mission-driven organization that values transparency, efficiency, and citizen empowerment.
As a MeeSeva Centre Officer, you will be the face of the government for thousands of residents daily. Your primary responsibility is to ensure smooth, errorβfree processing of citizen requests while maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor. You will operate standard government software, manage queues, verify documents, and guide applicants through complex procedures. The role offers a stable government salary, regular increments, and a clear career ladder that can lead to senior supervisory positions or specialized departmental roles.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Receive and register citizen applications for various government services at the MeeSeva Centre.
2. Verify authenticity of documents, ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines.
3. Operate MeeSeva software modules for data entry, status tracking, and report generation.
4. Provide clear, stepβbyβstep guidance to applicants on required forms, fees, and timelines.
5. Resolve citizen queries and complaints promptly, escalating complex issues to senior officials when needed.
6. Maintain daily logs, transaction records, and submit periodic performance reports.
7. Ensure confidentiality and security of citizen data as per IT Act and government policies.
8. Participate in periodic training sessions and awareness drives organized by the district administration.
9. Assist in organizing outreach programs to increase awareness of MeeSeva services in rural areas.
10. Contribute ideas for process improvement and digital adoption within the centre.
**Tech Stack & Tools**: Basic computer operation, MS Office, MeeSeva portal software, internet browsing, and knowledge of eβgovernance applications. No advanced programming is required, but familiarity with digital forms and data validation is essential.
**Growth Path**: Starting as a Centre Officer, high performers can progress to Senior Officer, then to District MeeSeva Coordinator, and eventually to Stateβlevel administrative roles. The government also offers opportunities for lateral moves into related departments such as Revenue, Social Welfare, and Rural Development.
**Why Join**: A career with MeeSeva provides job security, a respectable salary, regular promotions, and the satisfaction of directly impacting citizensβ lives. You will work in a structured environment with clear rules, regular training, and a supportive team culture that values public service above all.
