The Business Development Intern role is designed for energetic candidates who are comfortable interacting with clients, managing leads, and ensuring a smooth sales pipeline. Interns will primarily handle inbound client calls, understand their requirements, and guide them through Deepsolvβs suite of services. They will be responsible for updating and maintaining records in the companyβs Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, following up on leads, and coordinating with senior business development managers to close deals. This position offers a handsβon experience in sales operations, client relationship management, and exposure to the techβservice industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Answer inbound client calls promptly and professionally, capturing essential details.
2. Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and log them into the CRM.
3. Conduct followβup calls and emails to nurture prospects.
4. Schedule product demos or meetings with senior sales personnel.
5. Maintain accurate and upβtoβdate client records in the CRM system.
6. Prepare daily/weekly reports on call volumes, conversion rates, and pipeline status.
7. Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation activities.
8. Assist in preparing proposals and quotations as required.
9. Participate in weekly training sessions on sales techniques and product knowledge.
10. Provide feedback to improve the inbound call handling process.
The tech stack for this role includes CRM tools such as Zoho or HubSpot, basic Excel/Google Sheets for reporting, and communication platforms like Slack or Microsoft Teams. While no deep technical coding is required, familiarity with SaaS products and a comfort level with digital tools will help.
