The role of Associate Analyst β Automation Testing is designed for recent graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience who are passionate about software quality. You will be part of a dynamic Quality Engineering team that works closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA engineers to build robust automated test suites for web and API applications. Your dayβtoβday responsibilities will involve understanding functional requirements, designing test scenarios, scripting automated tests, and ensuring defects are logged and tracked efficiently. You will also actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to test documentation, and stay updated with emerging testing tools and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyse business and functional specifications to create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
2. Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium, RestAssured or similar frameworks.
3. Perform functional, regression, smoke and sanity testing across web and API layers.
4. Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools such as JIRA.
5. Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues promptly.
6. Participate in sprint planning, daily standβups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
7. Generate test execution reports, quality metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Keep abreast of new testing tools, frameworks and industry trends, and propose adoption where beneficial.
9. Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests with tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
10. Mentor junior team members and share knowledge through brownβbag sessions.
Tech Stack: Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, TestNG/JUnit, RestAssured, Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, JIRA, Agile (Scrum), API testing tools.
Growth Path: Starting as an Associate Analyst, you can progress to Senior Analyst, Consultant, Manager and eventually to Leadership roles within the Quality Engineering practice, with opportunities to specialize in performance testing, security testing or DevOps.
