Job Description & Key Responsibilities
Reliance Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries, has a longβstanding commitment to inclusive development across India. Through education, health, rural transformation and disaster relief, the foundation strives to create sustainable impact for millions of Indians. One of its flagship initiatives is the Undergraduate Scholarship Programme, which aims to remove financial barriers for meritorious students from all socioβeconomic backgrounds. By supporting up to 5,000 scholars each year, the foundation not only funds tuition but also builds a vibrant alumni network that nurtures future leaders, innovators and changeβmakers.
The scholarship role is designed for firstβyear undergraduate students (academic year 2026β27) who have demonstrated academic excellence (minimum 60% in Class 12) and belong to households earning less than Rs. 15 lakh per annum. Selected scholars receive a grant of up to Rs. 2β―Lakhs spread across the entire degree, along with mentorship, networking opportunities, and access to exclusive events organized by Reliance Foundation. The programme also emphasizes holistic development, encouraging recipients to engage in community service, leadership activities and personal growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities for scholars include:
1. Maintaining the required academic performance throughout the degree.
2. Actively participating in foundationβled workshops, webinars and alumni meetβups.
3. Contributing to communityβoriented projects or social initiatives as part of the scholarshipβs communityβcommitment pillar.
4. Completing the mandatory online aptitude test with honesty and integrity.
5. Submitting periodic progress reports and supporting documents as requested.
6. Upholding the values of excellence, leadership, integrity, community commitment, growth mindset and courage in all academic and extracurricular pursuits.
7. Engaging with mentors and peers to share knowledge and best practices.
8. Representing the Reliance Foundation brand positively on campus and in public forums.
9. Leveraging the alumni network for career guidance and professional development.
10. Providing feedback to improve future editions of the scholarship programme.
While there is no specific technical stack, scholars are encouraged to develop strong analytical, verbal and numerical abilities, as these are assessed in the aptitude test and are essential for academic success. The growth path is uniquely defined by the foundationβs longβterm support: scholars gain access to internships, industry exposure, and potential recruitment pipelines with Reliance Group companies. Joining this scholarship means receiving financial relief, a powerful support system, and a platform to transform personal aspirations into societal impact.
