
Eligibility Criteria
Degree: B.Sc in Computer Science, Electronics, PCM or related discipline, or BCA. Academic Structure: 12+3 years. Minimum aggregate: 60% in Class 10, Class 12 and college. Final year students or graduates who meet PMIS guidelines are eligible. Must have applied through the Prime Ministerβs Internship Scheme portal. No active backlogs allowed as per PMIS policy. Batch: 2026 (or graduating in 2026).

The Application Developer Intern role is designed for B.Sc or BCA students who are eager to understand the operational side of enterprise software. Unlike a traditional development internship that focuses on writing new code, this position concentrates on application monitoring, incident triage, production support and nonβcode configuration. Interns will be embedded within IBM Consultingβs Client Innovation Centres, where they will assist senior consultants in keeping critical applications running smoothly, documenting processes, and learning best practices in IT operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Monitor application health dashboards and system notifications to detect anomalies.
2. Perform incident analysis, collect logs, and execute initial troubleshooting steps.
3. Triage incidents by assessing impact, urgency and ownership, and route them appropriately.
4. Provide lowβtoβmedium level production support under guided processes.
5. Administer application settings and perform nonβcode configuration changes.
6. Update and maintain technical documentation, knowledgeβbase articles and SOPs.
7. Collaborate with senior consultants to resolve complex issues and implement fixes.
8. Participate in daily standβups and status reporting for the support team.
9. Learn and apply Linux commandβline tools, basic SQL queries and REST API testing.
10. Contribute ideas for process improvement and automation within the support workflow.
**Tech Stack & Tools**: Linux/Unix environment, basic shell scripting, SQL (MySQL/Oracle), HTTP/REST APIs, monitoring tools (e.g., IBM Cloud Monitoring, Grafana), ticketing systems (ServiceNow/Jira), documentation platforms (Confluence, SharePoint).
