β’ Experience: 0β2 years of relevant experience, internships or project work in engineering design, testing or networking.

β’ Communication: Good written and verbal English; proficiency in local language is a plus.

The WLAN Engineer role at HPE is designed for fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience. Reporting to the Wireless Solutions team, the engineer will contribute to the design, testing, validation and troubleshooting of WLAN hardware and software solutions. The position is hybrid, requiring an average of two days per week in the HPE office located in either Chennai or Bangalore, allowing a balance between remote work and onβsite collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Assisting in the creation of engineering designs for WLAN products using multiβdisciplinary principles.
2. Developing and executing test plans to verify mechanical, electrical and software specifications.
3. Analyzing test data, identifying deviations, and documenting validation results.
4. Collaborating with internal and outsourced development partners to resolve design issues.
5. Supporting troubleshooting activities across hardware and firmware layers.
6. Maintaining design documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
7. Contributing to costβoptimization and reliability improvement initiatives.
8. Participating in regular project team meetings and providing technical updates.
9. Learning and applying engineering design tools relevant to the WLAN domain.
10. Preparing technical reports and presenting findings to senior engineers.
The technical stack typically involves RF design fundamentals, PCB layout tools, simulation software (e.g., Ansys HFSS, CST), scripting languages such as Python for automation, and versionβcontrol systems like Git. Familiarity with networking protocols (802.11 standards), signal integrity analysis and basic firmware debugging is advantageous.
Growth path for a WLAN Engineer at HPE is wellβstructured.
