The Service Desk Analyst role is an entryβlevel position designed for recent graduates who are eager to start their professional journey in IT support. As the first point of contact for internal and external users, the analyst will log, triage, and resolve incidents and service requests, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive, log, and categorize incidents and service requests using the appropriate CTI categories.
2. Perform firstβline troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex cases to higherβlevel support teams.
3. Maintain clear and timely communication with customers, providing status updates and resolution details.
4. Follow ITIL best practices to ensure consistent incident handling and knowledge base updates.
5. Participate in onβcall rotations and provide afterβhours support as required.
6. Collaborate with other service desks and support groups to achieve SLA targets.
7. Document resolutions and contribute to the creation of standard operating procedures.
8. Monitor ticket queues, prioritize work based on impact and urgency, and ensure closure within defined timelines.
9. Assist in periodic system health checks and routine maintenance activities.
10. Provide feedback to process improvement teams to enhance service delivery.
Tech Stack & Tools: ServiceNow ticketing, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), VPN clients, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS), remote desktop tools, and ITIL framework.
Growth Path: Starting as a Service Desk Analyst, high performers can progress to Senior Analyst, Incident Manager, or specialize in areas such as Cloud Operations, Cybersecurity, or IT Service Management.
