Graduates (B.Tech/B.E, B.Sc, B.Com, MBA or equivalent) from any discipline with a minimum of 60% aggregate. Final year students of the 2025 or 2026 batch are eligible. The Data Operations role is positioned within the Metals & Mining Industry Content Department. As a fresher, you will be responsible for handling dayβtoβday data management tasks that ensure the accuracy and reliability of the content delivered to S&P Globalβs clients. You will work closely with senior analysts, content managers, and technology teams to capture, validate, and report on data that powers market reports, dashboards, and research publications. This role offers a solid foundation in data handling, quality assurance, and reporting, making it an ideal launchpad for a career in data analytics or financial services.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Perform straightforward, standβalone data entry and editing tasks following detailed guidelines and checklists.
2. Capture comprehensive information on metals and mining data points as defined by the content team.
3. Generate daily workβperformance reports using internal reporting tools, extracting and validating any data discrepancies.
4. Review feedback on content accuracy, help correct errors, and suggest procedural improvements.
5. Meet individual and team targets while maintaining high quality and excellence.
6. Collaborate with team members and related departments to understand and streamline processes.
7. Maintain documentation of data handling procedures and updates.
8. Participate in periodic data quality audits and assist in rootβcause analysis.
9. Support the creation of adβhoc data extracts for senior analysts when required.
10. Continuously learn and adopt new tools or technologies introduced by the department.
The tech stack for this role primarily includes Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros), SQL for basic data extraction, and internal reporting platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau. Familiarity with dataβvalidation scripts and contentβmanagement systems is a plus.
