The Junior Software Development Engineer β DevSecOps role in Pune is designed for earlyβcareer professionals who are passionate about automating software delivery and embedding security into the development lifecycle. Reporting to the DevSecOps lead, the candidate will work on modernizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, creating reusable workflow templates, and governing GitHub Enterprise repositories. The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing collaboration in the office while also providing flexibility for remote work.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions for multiple product streams.
2. Develop reusable workflow templates and automation scripts to improve developer productivity.
3. Administer GitHub Enterprise β repository onboarding, access control, branch protection rules, and runner management.
4. Integrate security scanning tools (Snyk, Dependabot, CodeQL) and compliance checks into pipelines to enforce DevSecOps best practices.
5. Assist in migrating legacy pipelines from Azure DevOps to GitHub, ensuring minimal disruption.
6. Provide consulting and support to development teams on GitHub Copilot adoption and workflow optimization.
7. Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and continuously improve automation reliability.
8. Participate in code reviews, contribute to internal tooling, and document standard operating procedures.
9. Stay updated with emerging DevSecOps trends and propose enhancements to the security posture.
10. Collaborate with security, QA, and operations teams to align on governance policies.
The tech stack revolves around GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Python/Bash scripting, and security tools such as Snyk, Dependabot, and CodeQL.
