
Eligibility Criteria
Final‑year or recent graduate (2024‑2026 batch) pursuing B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline; minimum 60% aggregate (or CGPA 6.5/10); must be able to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the university; no active backlogs at the time of joining; basic familiarity with Linux, networking concepts and hypervisors; strong written and verbal communication skills; availability to work part‑time during standard business hours for the full internship duration.

The Edge Network Engineering (ENE) Internship offers final‑year engineering students a hands‑on experience in designing, deploying and troubleshooting edge computing and SD‑WAN solutions. Interns work side‑by‑side with senior engineers on live customer deployments, gaining exposure to cloud integration, network routing, switching, and security fundamentals. While prior professional experience is not required, a curiosity for networking, virtualization and automation will help you thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist senior engineers during customer deployments of edge computing infrastructure, cloud integration, and SD‑WAN platforms.
2. Support end‑to‑end implementation activities – architecture walkthroughs, configuration, testing, and go‑live – under supervision.
3. Observe and contribute to project planning sessions with project managers, systems engineers and customer stakeholders.
4. Help troubleshoot deployment issues across operating systems, hypervisors, containers and networks.
5. Learn to write basic automation scripts (Bash/Python) and reusable tooling for deployment consistency.
6. Document procedures, configurations and lessons learned for internal knowledge bases.
7. Participate in internal enablement sessions, cross‑functional collaboration and knowledge‑sharing forums.
8. Attend customer workshops for large‑scale rollouts to understand real‑world challenges.
9. Explore network diagnostic tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, iptables and netstat.
10. Gain exposure to SD‑WAN concepts, especially Versa Networks, and optional cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
Tech Stack & Learning Opportunities: Linux system administration, KVM/VMware basics, VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP), firewalls, DNS/NAT, Wireshark, tcpdump, basic Python/Bash scripting, Ansible/Terraform fundamentals, optional Versa SD‑WAN, containerization (Docker/K3s) and cloud VM provisioning.
Growth Path: Successful interns may be offered a full‑time role as a Junior Network Engineer or Systems Engineer, with clear progression to senior engineering, solution architecture or project management tracks.
