The Jr. Data Analyst role is designed for recent graduates or early‑career professionals who have a strong foundation in data manipulation, reporting and visualization. Reporting to the Lead Data Analyst, you will work closely with product, operations and engineering teams to turn raw operational logs into actionable insights. Your day‑to‑day activities will involve writing efficient SQL queries, cleaning and aggregating large datasets, building interactive Power BI dashboards, and performing ad‑hoc analysis using advanced Excel techniques. You will also be responsible for ensuring data quality before reports are shared with stakeholders and for translating business questions into technical specifications. Key responsibilities include: 1. Write, run, and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from relational databases. 2. Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards that visualize key performance indicators and operational metrics. 3. Perform operational analysis on call logs, messaging volumes, and other interaction datasets to identify usage trends and anomalies. 4. Conduct quick, data‑driven deep dives using Advanced Excel (PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas) to answer immediate business queries. 5. Validate data accuracy and consistency before publishing reports. 6. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. 7. Document data pipelines, reporting logic, and dashboard specifications for future reference. 8. Monitor data pipelines for failures and work with engineering to resolve issues. 9. Assist in creating data dictionaries and metadata documentation. 10. Participate in regular knowledge‑sharing sessions to upskill the analytics team. Tech stack: SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), Power BI, Microsoft Excel (advanced), basic Python for data cleaning (optional), Git for version control.
