No active backlogs; up to 2 backlogs allowed at the time of joining. Open to candidates from the 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025 batches. The role of Engineer β Software Test & Release is an operationally oriented position designed for fresh graduates or candidates with up to two years of experience. The incumbent will be part of the Quality Assurance (QA) team, responsible for ensuring that software releases meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and reliability. This position offers a blend of handsβon testing, automation, documentation, and support tasks, providing a solid foundation for a career in software quality engineering.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Designing, developing, and executing manual test cases for new features and bug fixes.
2. Building and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, Java, and TestNG.
3. Performing regression, smoke, and sanity testing across multiple environments.
4. Logging defects, tracking them in JIRA, and verifying fixes.
5. Collaborating with developers to understand requirements and provide early feedback.
6. Preparing test summary reports and release notes for stakeholders.
7. Ensuring adherence to QA guidelines, checklists, and documentation standards.
8. Participating in daily standβups and sprint planning to align testing activities with development timelines.
9. Conducting rootβcause analysis for recurring issues and suggesting process improvements.
10. Providing postβrelease support and monitoring production issues.
The tech stack typically involves Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Maven, Git, JIRA, and basic SQL for data validation. Candidates will also get exposure to CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
