The role of Software Engineer β Java, Spring Boot and Microservices is positioned within IS&Tβs enterprise services team. As a fresher or earlyβcareer professional, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining highly reliable, scalable backend services that support Appleβs critical applications. You will collaborate with crossβfunctional product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust software solutions. Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, test, and deploy enterpriseβgrade Java microservices using Spring Boot.
2. Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external services.
3. Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (Cassandra, MongoDB) for data persistence.
4. Participate in architecture discussions, contribute to design documents, and perform code reviews.
5. Implement CI/CD pipelines and containerize applications for deployment on Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS, GCP GKE, Azure AKS).
6. Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of services handling high transaction volumes.
7. Mentor junior team members and collaborate with peers across different domains.
8. Ensure security best practices are embedded in the codebase and infrastructure.
9. Write unit and integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, and other testing frameworks.
10. Continuously monitor production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and propose improvements.
