
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation (B.Tech/B.Sc/M.Sc/MBA) in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, Statistics or related fields with minimum 60% aggregate; 2-3 years of relevant experience in FMCG/Pharma sales analytics, incentive design or field force management; no active backlogs; batch years preferably 2020‑2023.

The role of Manager – SFE (Sales Force Effectiveness) is a pivotal position within the Commercial Excellence team. Reporting to senior commercial leadership, the manager will own the design, implementation and monitoring of field force incentives, targeting strategies and performance analytics. This role blends deep analytical thinking with strong stakeholder management, ensuring that the field team operates efficiently and aligns with Abbott’s growth objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Drive development and deployment of field targets and incentive plans that motivate the sales force and deliver business outcomes.
2. Analyze IQVIA and SMSRC data to refine doctor visit lists and improve field productivity.
3. Conduct business analytics, translate data into actionable insights, and present recommendations to senior leadership.
4. Lead end‑to‑end project design and execution, taking full ownership of timelines and deliverables.
5. Generate field performance reports, map efforts to outcomes (primary/secondary sales, claims, returns) and identify efficiency gaps.
6. Collaborate with Zonal Business Managers, NSMs and commercial directors to align field activities with strategic priorities.
7. Design and roll out training‑needs assessments, work with the training team to develop capability‑building programs.
8. Coach under‑performing field members, develop talking points and monitor plan‑of‑action execution.
9. Engage external partners such as SMSRC and IMS for market intelligence.
10. Continuously improve incentive structures and target‑setting processes based on data‑driven insights.
Tech stack: Advanced Excel, SQL, PowerBI/Tableau, statistical tools (R/Python), CRM platforms (Veeva, Salesforce) and data visualization tools.
Growth path: Successful managers can progress to Senior Manager – Commercial Excellence, then to Head of Sales Force Effectiveness or broader Commercial Leadership roles across regions.
