By leveraging PriceFx’s Agentic AI engine, the analyst will help the organization meet pricing KPI targets, identify margin‑improving opportunities, and curb price leakage. The position also involves creating and maintaining competitor intelligence pipelines, collaborating with enterprise data teams, and standardising pricing tools across regions. Key responsibilities include: 1. Managing Snowflake databases and writing efficient SQL queries to support pricing analytics. 2. Conducting deep‑dive market and competitive analyses to surface trends, positioning insights and margin‑enhancement opportunities. 3. Using PriceFx Agentic AI and the price optimisation engine to drive KPI achievement. 4. Maintaining and enhancing pricing database tables in partnership with the enterprise data team. 5. Overseeing pricing operations tools, ensuring global standardisation and performance. 6. Building and maintaining web‑scraping pipelines for competitor price data collection. 7. Developing interactive dashboards and visualisations in Tableau for senior stakeholders. 8. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams (sales, finance, product) to translate pricing insights into actionable strategies. 9. Documenting data models, processes and best practices for knowledge sharing. 10. Continuously monitoring data quality and implementing improvements in the unified data layer. Tech stack: Snowflake, SQL, Python (including pandas, sqlalchemy), Tableau, PriceFx, Java, Git, web‑scraping tools (BeautifulSoup/Selenium), and cloud platforms for deployment. Growth path: Starting as a Pricing Data Analyst, high performers can progress to Senior Analyst, Pricing Manager, and eventually Pricing Lead or Head of Pricing Analytics, with exposure to global strategy and leadership opportunities. Why join nVent? The company offers a dynamic global environment, cutting‑edge pricing technology, and the chance to work on real‑world problems that impact critical industries. Employees benefit from a culture of innovation, integrity and customer focus, along with robust learning programmes, mentorship, and a commitment to diversity and community impact.

Technical questions 5
What is the difference between WHERE and HAVING clauses in SQL? Answer
Model answer: WHERE filters rows before any groupings are applied, while HAVING filters aggregated groups after GROUP BY has executed.
Explain SQL Window functions: ROW_NUMBER(), RANK(), and DENSE_RANK(). Answer
Model answer: ROW_NUMBER() assigns unique sequential integers. RANK() assigns identical ranks to ties and skips ranks. DENSE_RANK() assigns identical ranks to ties without skipping rank numbers.
How do you handle NULL and missing values during data cleaning in Python/Pandas? Answer
Model answer: Use .isna().sum() to identify missing values. Impute with mean/median using .fillna() or remove with .dropna(subset=[...]) depending on variance impact.
What is the difference between Star Schema and Snowflake Schema in Data Warehousing? Answer
Model answer: Star Schema has denormalized dimension tables directly connected to the central Fact table. Snowflake Schema normalizes dimension tables into sub-dimensions to minimize redundancy.
How do you calculate MoM (Month-over-Month) growth in SQL? Answer
Model answer: Use LAG(revenue, 1) OVER (ORDER BY month) to fetch the previous month's revenue and compute (revenue - prev_revenue) / prev_revenue * 100.
